Did you know that each year on July 28th people all over America celebrate National Milk Chocolate Day? I don’t know about you, but this day has my name written all over it. A day entirely devoted to milk chocolate is my kind of day. In honor of the day, I decided to do a little research into this tasty treat. Milk chocolate results when you combine solid chocolate with either powdered, liquid, or condensed milk. “The cocoa ‘beans’ that form the basis of chocolate are actually seeds from the fruit of the cacao tree, which primarily grows in tropical areas near the Equator.” Once harvested, the cocoa beans are ground, pressed, heated and stirred to create heavenly chocolate. This chocolate is then used in candy bars, cakes, cookies, and all the other delicious treats we like to snack on.

National Milk Chocolate day gives all of us the permission to eat chocolate all day long, and I will definitely take advantage of that.
